Capability Training
Trainer David Hudson will lead us through the formal session of the day. David’s presentation will focus on Community Engagement and Cultural Identity, as he illustrates the importance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural beliefs, customs and requirements in the Community Engagement and Cultural Identity space.
About David …
David is a descendant of the Ewamian-Western Yalanji peoples of the north-north west, Queensland region. David with other partners, established the Tjapukai Dance Theatre and the related Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park in Kuranda.
Rainforestation Dreamtime Walk Tour, Kuranda
Kuranda's Rainforestation Nature Park, is a World Heritage site located within five minutes of Kuranda village and is easily accessible from Cairns.
Watch a traditional Aboriginal dance performance - the Pamagirri Corroboree; which depicts aspects of Indigenous culture including animals, food gathering and hunting.
You can also take a guided tour along the Rainbow Serpent, a walk-way which gives you a fascinating insight into aspects of Aboriginal culture or the Bushtucker Walk to further enhance your Indigenous experience.
Itinerary and Costs
Coach departs Cairns (TBA) at 8.30am sharp for Rainforestation Park, Kuranda and will return at day’s end at approximately 5.00pm.
